Batulicin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The District Government of Tanah Bumbu keeps striving for its community to be independent and advanced in social and economy. One of which by providing integrated training on cultivation, processing, until marketing of fresh water fish.
"We continue to make breakthrough to create economic independence for the community, especially those with low income," said Head of Fisheries Agency Yulian Herawati in Batulicin, Sunday.
Economic actors were trained on how to produce processed food from catfish, packaging, and marketing a product they later produced with the name "Lele Bumbu Ragil Kinasih".
In fact, said Yulian, who was accompanied by the agency's Head of Fishery Products Processing and Marketing Abdul Gafur Ariyasi, the training provided from upstream to downstream, from breeding, spawning, enlargement, to product processing in order the quality was maintained.
"This a coaching innovation for catfish business actors, so that there is an increase in economic value as well as a differentiation of the processed product itself," she said.
Meanwhile, the agency has started to introduce the ready-to-fry catfish they produced. Each time there is a certain event the agency will promote it to be known more widely by the public.
"Fisheries Agency will cooperate with related government office (SKPD) to provide facilities in marketing, processing the variety of products, as well as implementing zero waste in catfish production," she said.
