Head of Immigration Office Banjarmasin Tjutju Purnama in Banjarbaru on Wednesday said repatriation of five foreign workers because they do not have permission as foreign labor.
"Repatriation of China's five foreign workers because they do not have a work permit which should be managed by the company before hiring them," Tjutju told reporters.
He said the repatriation of foreign workers, who had been working at PT MMI was, entirely the responsibility of the company and the Immigration Office only accompany them.
Immigration assign one employee to accompany the five TKA since discharged from Banjarmasin through Syamsudin Noor Airport to return them to their country.
"State only pay for employees accompanying the repatriation of foreign workers, while all five of their financing is the responsibility of the company," he said.
Five foreign workers from China who were arrested by Minister of Manpower Hanif Dahiri at a sudden inspection, Saturday (14/3), has been flown on Wednesday afternoon at around 18:00 pm after being held for four days.
"The process of their repatriation running smoothly accompanied by an immigration officer who was seeing them off to the airport in Beijing, China," he said.
He said that, in addition to five foreign workers, the imigration also arrest 26 foreign workers who work in PT MMI on Tuesday (17/3).
"The arrest of 26 foreign workers is a follow up of five foreign workers were arrested before and now they are being held at the Immigration office," he said.
Action against dozens of foreign workers from China who does not have permission to work is also the same as the previous five workers.
