Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Acting Governor of South Kalimantan Safrizal ZA asked the Provincial Inflation Control Team (TPID) to map the potential of each district and to strengthen supply chain system in order to effectively control inflation.
According to him, to control inflation, all regulations related to inflation must be integrated to facilitate coordination and implementation of tasks.
"Our steps must be integrated, such as what Tanah Laut has, Tabalong what, then we map. The system complies with each other, what lack can be supplied by neighboring districts, " he said at "High-Level Meeting and Coordination Meeting of the Regional Inflation Control Team" in Banjarmasin, Monday.
He also stated the need for innovation in controlling inflation, especially if there is a surge in demand of goods and services in Ramadhan.

The man who was born in Banda Aceh said that the strengthening of the supply chain must be accompanied by good infrastructure.
"Our distribution is indeed constrained by the last flood, Alhamdulillah several bridges will be completed in the near future, so they can smoothen the flow of goods and services that have an effect on inflation," he said.

Safrizal emphasized the importance of carrying out a 4K strategy, namely price affordability, stock availability, smooth distribution, and effective communication.
The Director-General of Regional Administration of the Ministry of Home Affairs said that in March 2021 South Kalimantan recorded an inflation of 0.09 percent with a consumer price index (IHK) 107.24.
Two districts and one city that contributed to inflation in South Kalimantan were Banjarmasin 0.59 percent, Tabalong 0.03 percent, and Kotabaru 0.09 percent.
