Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Former Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Lambung Mangkurat Banjarmasin, H Hasny invites local residents to be aware of the possibility of disease vomit and stools (diarrhea) in transition season.


"Today's been transition season from dry to rainy season. We must guard against diarrhea and vomiting that usually occurs in the season," said the pediatrician in Banjarmasin on Sunday.

From experience so far, according to a senior doctor whose 60 years old, the transition season is vulnerable for children to be affected by diarrhea and vomiting. "But even adults can get diarrhea if not careful," he said.

Therefore, he suggested, to be careful in consuming food or beverages. "Moreover, eating or drinking river water should be boiled first and really mature," he said.

"Because of our river water conditions, such as in Banjarmasin, full coli bacteria that can make diarrhea and vomiting for the taking if the water is not cooked first," he continued.

In addition, parents not to let their children snack at random in order to prevent vomiting attacked, he said in a conversation with AntaranewsKalsel in Banjarmasin.
