Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - PT PLN Region South and Central Kalimantan continues it raids on alleged theft of electricity.
PLN Banjarmasin Area Manager, Taufan Rahmat Rahardjo on Wednesday (12/11) said it continues to regulate the flow of electricity from the State Owned Enterprises (BUMN).
"The regulation, including raids against theft of electricity, with no favoritism," he said after hearing with the traffic commission in the South Kalimantan Legislative Assembly (DPRD).
He denied allegations that the raid of PLN selective or favoritism. "Not only the community or household, hotels also raided. But the raid on the hotel or companies do not like the raids on households, which sometimes known by public," he added.
He said, from the raid in "city of a thousand rivers" Banjarmasin recently, discovered the theft of thousands of PLN KWH worth Rp1.1 billion.
"The raid was only on part of customers in Banjarmasin, and continues without telling, when the power outages operating team (Opal) is moving," he said.
He said as the raids increasing, PLN will also do its utmost to improve services to consumers, such as new installation and handling of the disruption as soon as possible.
