Tanjung, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Assistant of Legal and Social Manager of Pertamina EP Asset V Tanjung field, District Tabalong, Himawan Djatmiko, said Tugu Obor (torch monument) will be lit again if the new gas resources in the village of Dahur, Subdistrict of Tanta, on production.


"Pertamina has discovered the potential gas in the village of Dahur, therefore we are preparing to make a gas pipeline from the oil wells to the power plant through torch monument," said Himawan here on Saturday.

He acknowledge the torch was extinguished by reason of company had shortage to supply for operations. The monument in subdistrict Mabuun is Tabalong's icon.

Related plans for a gas pipeline from the wells to the power plant it is still in planning stage and expected the shortage of gas supply can be resolved so that the torch can re-ignite.

Current requirements for the operational production of Pertamina's gas reaches 2 million standard cubic feet (scf) while gas production just over 1.8 million scf. The shortage was due to two oil and gas wells in the subdistrict of Tanta, TA - and FY 01 - 03, were not on production.
