Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - South Kalimantan Regional Secretary (Sekda) Arsyadi hope Pertamina always keep stock and meet the needs of LPG in the market, both for 12 kg or 3 kg of subsidized Liquefied Petroleum Gas.
According to Arsyadi, the scarcity of LPG in the market either 12 kg or 3 kg make people suffer and pinched. "If LPG disappeared, while kerosene prices soar, what can be made by public," he said on Thursday.
Due to the scarcity of LPG, both 12 kg and 3 kg cylinders of Subsidized LPG, gas prices soaring. People not only bear the burden of Pertamina decision to LPG price hike of up to 68 percent, but also rise due to scarcity.
Thus, he said, gas prices are soaring. LPG 12 kg about Rp160 thousand from the previous price between Rp95,000 to Rp100,000 per tube. But due to scarcity the price could be Rp200,000.
These conditions, he added , also triggered the price hike of 3 kg of subsidized LPG, which is now also up significantly from Rp15.500 to Rp30,000, even Rp35,000 per tube.
"The government is currently conducting meetings related to LPG pricing, may be down, but while waiting for the decision I hope Pertamina could keep stocks , not to rare," he said.
