Amuntai, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The North Hulu Sungai (HSU) police together with the element of government and community cleaned up the environment as a precaution against the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19).


In the action led by the HSU Deputy Police Chief Comr Irwan, they cleaned up around the police headquarters, the surrounding of the District Hospital of Pembalah Batung Amuntai, Muhajirin road, and other public facilities, including the nearest ojek (motorcycle taxi) base.

"This is to encourage cleanliness in the public environment according to the leader's instruction," Comr Irwan said in Amuntai, Saturday (March 14, 2020).

He said, together with the ranks of 1001/Amuntai Military Command, Health Agency, the District Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD), and people elements they cleaned up the environment of public services.

Meanwhile, the Health Section of the HSU Police together with the Health Agency promoted how to wash hands properly and distributed face-masks to motocycle taxi drivers near the hospital.

Acting Head of the Health Agency Agus Fidliansyah appealed to the people, especially in HSU District, not to be too panic and over paranoid.

"Perform healthy habits such as exercise, eating fruits and vegetables to increase endurance, wash your hands with soap with running water before eating and after doing activities," he called.

Agus also suggested to immediately consult a health facility if sick, especially fever, cough, shortness of breath and others, and immediately use mask.

Puskesmas (public health centers) will conduct surveillance of diseases that have clinical symptoms, such as COVID-19. 

If sick, he said, take more rest at home and not to go to crowd.

Agus acknowledged, for anticipation through inspection at the port, auch as at Danau Panggang or Paminggir, there is no tool to detect the body temperature, such as thermal scanner or thermal gun.
