Banjarbaru , South Kalimantan ( Antaranews ) - Ministry of Research and Technology (Kemenristek) encourage central and local governments to implement regional development base on Geospatial Information, so that development plans do not contradict each other.
"Through the Geospatial Information, any development planning at the central and local levels can be matched and do not contradict each other," Research and Technology Minister Gusti Muhammad Hatta said here on Monday.
He said it at the sideline of training and development of the region through the use of information data open sourse Geographic Information System (GIS) at Hotel Novotel attended by Mayor Ruzaidin Noor and members of the Coordination of the Regional Leadership Forum.
According to him , the IG-based regional development is the elaboration of national policies in Act No. 4 of 2011 that central and local governments are expected to plan development through the system.
"The development and utilization of spatial data can not be separated from the human resource capacity at national and local in understanding the development and utilization of information and communication technology," he said.
The regional planning has so far often do not fit even contradictory as a result of diffence in the map. Consequently an overlap happen in planning one area.
The conditions addressed by Kemenristek by preparing maps area refers to maps and spatial region in the form of information technology-based portal that can be accessed all relevant parties.
The map will be a reference for central and local government as a national base map so that the preparation of regional development plans could fit and not contradictory. *** 4 ***
