Barabai, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - The Murakata Academy of Nursing, Central Hulu Sungai District has produced 429 nurses most of whom now serving in hospitals and community health centers in the area.
Regent Harun Nurasid here on Thursday revealed that the presence of the nurses were needed to improve the living of society, especially those in remote areas.
"Right now we still need a lot of medical staff both nurses and midwives, to improve public health," he said.
He also hoped that the nurses continued to increase competence among others, by continuing their education to a higher level.
Mastering technology, he said, is also a very important thing in the middle of the boom in the health sciences and technologies to help facilitate health workers detecting public health.
"Devotion that sincere, best attitude and actions of a scholar of any scientific discipline are those who are able to apply their knowledge correctly and responsibly, is also an attitude that should be implanted," he said.
Director of Murakata Academy of Nursing Mastifah Ridha said the graduates haves taken education from 6 to 10 semesters with the amount of 120 credits.
