Tanjung, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Head of Tabalong Education Agency Erwan Mardani said the central government increased the BSM (scholarship) quota for poor students of elementary (SD), junior and high schools (SMA) of the district by about 25 t0 30 percent.
"As the quota has not been met yet, we ask all principles to collect data of prospective students to the Agency of Education no later than Sept. 20," said Erwan here on Thursday.
With the additional quota, candidates are not only beneficiaries of social protection card holder but nonKPS students can be proposed.
BSM quota from the state budget for Tabalong previously was 6,843 students and payment through Bank Kalsel to each student accounts is targeted to be distributed this month. The scholarship amounting Rp225 thousand, Rp375 thousand and Rp500 thousand per semester.
