Kotabaru-Surabaya Flight Opened

Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Regent Kotabaru H Irhami Ridjani stated, next month (September 2013), H Gusti Syamsir Alam Airport in Stagen will serve aircraft that opened the Kotabaru-Surabaya flight.

"Insya Allah Wings Air opens new route of Kotabaru-Surabaya," said regent Kotabaru on Wednesday.

Currently, he said, in Stagen Airport, Wings Air serves round trip of Kotabaru-Banjarmasin, Kotabaru-Balikpapan,

and Kotabaru-Sulawesi.

Regent optimistic, if Kotabaru-Surabaya flight opened, the air transport of Kotabaru with some big cities in Indonesia will be more smoothly and quickly. It will have an impact directly or indirectly to the local economic growth.

"It is possible, if the current transport run smooth, many investors will flock to this area, "he said.

According to the plan, Kotabaru-Surabaya flight will be served by ATR-72 aircraft.

Supporting the program, the local government immediately relocate Central Pulau Laut Sector Police office, a number of settlements in Stagen, and ask PT Inhutani II to releases some of its land for runway extension of Stagen Airport.
