Banjarmasin Builds Sanitation Information Center

Banjarmasin, 2/7 (Antaranews, South Kalimantan) - Wastewater Company (PD PAL) Banjarmasin city is building  Sanitation Information Center (PIS). This is useful as a laboratory facility sanitation, also useful for researchers and study.

PIS, which is funded by the World Bank, is one of the PD PAL entity that will benefit society at large, said Director of PD PAL Muhidin to reporters in Banjarmasin onTuesday.

Three-story building measuring 16 x 25 meters it was in about 2 acres of land at Jalan HKSN Northern District of Banjarmasin. The building will be filled with a variety of facilities as well as information central laboratory facilities collectively worth around Rp30 billion.

To strengthen the presence of PIS, PD PAL Banjarmasin has sent two experts to study in Malaysia, South Korea and Spain. In addition, the two experts named Dessy and Aulia will take part in education and training  for a year in Bekasi, added Muhidin.

"We hope that with these two experts as well as ourr own laboratories that will facilitate PDA PAL to measure different levels of sewage pollution," he said.

PD PAL somewhat difficult to know the level of water pollution, should be examined because the sample must be sent to a laboratory belongs to another party.

PD PAL laboratories could someday be used to accept orders if there are other people who want to check samples of wastewater or other water. "God willing, PIS and laboratory building will serve in 2015," said Muhidin. **
