Kotabaru, (Antaranews, South Kalimantan) - Regent Kotabaru H Irhami Ridjani stated, Pulaulaut-Kalimantan bridge construction site plan will be shifted to the use of other areas (APL) of nature reserve areas.
"We will shift the location of the bridge, so the bridge construction could begin immediately," said Irhami in Kotabaru on Monday.
The shift to be done, because the planned location of Tanjung Ayun-Tarjun bridge which length is about 3.5 km, mostly located in the nature reserve forest area (CA). Process that must be taken by local government to change the status of the area ( CA to APL) will be long enough.
While the construction of the bridge had to be done, one of which is to avoid the occurrence of marine accidents, and the opening of disadvantaged areas.
Regent realized the removal of the bridge location plan will increase the length of location, and that means the budget will add to the costs. "It will increase the length of about 100 meters compared to the old plan of the location," he said.
The extra length will be in the legs of the bridge on the coast. "The addition of the term is not a problem for the company. An important is the bridge can be built," said Irhami.
Regent optimistic, that the construction of the bridge will be implemented in 2013.
Previously, Regent Kotabaru H.Irhami Ridjani said, the bridge connecting Tanjung Ayun-Tarjun at a cost of around Rp 1 trillion will be built by investor an iron ore firm PT Sebuku Iron Lateritic Ores (SILO) Group's by way of grants. While the bridge construction will be carried out by TYLin International Consulting Engeneering from China with a time of about 30 months.
He hoped with the construction of a bridge connecting Pulau Laut --where there are six subdistricts in Kotabaru-- to Kalimantan mainland will open isolated areas to be developed and can keep pace with others.
