Banjarmasin (Antaranews South Kalimantan) - Fuel (BBM) commerce in Indonesia is
considered to be inorderly, which cause many problems unresolved until today.
Deputy Chairman of South Kalimantan Legislative Council H Riswandi said this in,
Banjarmasin, Tuesday, related to unresolved issues of BBM and what make people
emotional.
According to a former employee of the Department of Finance of the Republic of
Indonesia, the emergence of people's emotions is not an issue the government's
plan to raise fuel prices, but because of the commerce.
He cited, among others, that crude oil shipments abroad continuously, without
making efforts to accelerate the domestic processing plant. "As a result,
we not only do not get the added value of our own oil production, but buying
from abroad at high prices to meet domestic demand," said the politician of
Prosperous Justice Party (PKS).
He estimated there is a likelihood of oil mafia game, so the issue of fuel in
Indonesia has yet to be resolved completely.
"Therefore, there is no other way, unless the Indonesian government should
immediately build oil processing plant, mainly for its own domestic needs,
instead of relying on crude oil exports," he advised adding that the
Indonesian government must work more maximal combating oil mafia, which makes
price volatility and trading system inorderly.
On a separate occasion, a social observer from the University of Palangkaraya
(Unpar) Prof Dr HM Norsanie Darlan MS PH stated he agreed the government's plan
to set fuel prices in one kind only. According to him, the distinction does not
solve the problem, but it could lead to new problems.
"It hard to oversight, and it will be the fields of business of speculators.
While the public difficult to distinguish, where subsidized and non-subsidized
fuel," said Norsanie.
