Tanjung, (Antaranews, South Kalimantan) – Detention Class IIB Tanjung, Tabalong Regency, South Kalimantan, experiencing overcapacity by the number of 67 prisoners and 88 detainees.

Chief Security Tanjung Detention, Hazairin, on Wednesday (3/4), revealed several prisoners room filled beyond capacity. "Room with a capacity of 25 people forced us to fill with 30 occupants given the number of prison inmates continues to grow," said Hazairin.

Currently the number of detainees at the prison space is only 10 rooms and 2 detention isolation cells and other supporting facilities such as halls, places of worship and public kitchens. With the continued increase in prisoners, prosecutors surrogate country, the prison also take advantage of the former prison of narcotics in the Village Maburai, sub-District Murung Pudak.

"Several detainees have been switched to the former prison that is now a prison for drug generic, but the limited number of officers there that can not be used optimally," added Hazairin.

Ex-prison drug itself was almost six months not used, because the inmates have been transferred to narcotics prison in the district of Banjar.

Meanwhile, the head office of the Tanjung Detention Class IIB underwent a change from Sarwito to Syahroni Ali who previously served as Head of Security Jambi Prison. Position handover took place on Wednesday (3/4), witnessed by Correctional Division, the South Kalimantan Regional Office of Law and Human Rights Ministry, Priyadi.
