Senior Sales Executive PT Pertamina Kalimantan Region Hari Prasetyo said subsidized fuel quota for 2013 distribution had not been received yet. "So we still use the special quota premium 1,570 kiloliters per day," he said after meeting with the Governor of South Kalimantan and Banjarmasin officials on Monday.
Whereas total premium needs throughout South Kalimantan in 2013, the average 1650 kiloliters per day, resulting in a deficiency or difference between distribution and needs per day. These conditions triggered a a very long queue in almost all retail outlets in South Kalimantan in recent weeks.
"The issue of quotas is not our authority, we only authorized to distribute," said Hari Prasetyo.
South Kalimantan Governor Rudy Ariffin said he immediately made a letter to request that an additional quota for South Kalimantan, at least equal to the distribution in 2012. "God willing, I will hand a letter to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, BPH Migas and other related ministries, the letter I requested to be processed," he said.
The number of vehicles is increasing in South Kalimantan, 15-20 percent annually. In an effort to anticipate the possibility of social upheaval, it is expected to soon set quota of subsidized fuel.
