Banjarbaru, (Antaranews.Kalsel) – The flow of electricity in the province of South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan impaired due to Steam Power Plant (PLTU) Asam-asam struck by lightning on Sunday afternoon.
General Manager of PT PLN (Persero) Region South and Central Kalimantan Yuddy Setyo Wicaksono in Banjarbaru on Sunday said lightning stroke on transmission lines to the plant so that the operational generating units 2, 3 and 4 stopped.
"Allegations of interference caused by lightning that struck at 12:38 pm so the three plants stopped operating and causing blackouts in both parts of Central and South Kalimantan," he said.
Disruption of the three units of the plant that makes electric power lost nearly large enough to cause most of South and Central Kalimantan experienced a power outage in unison. But the electricity in some areas are still normal because there was diesel and gas power plant.
