Banjarmasin, 9/3 (Antara) – Members of Parliament of South Kalimantan Gusti Perdana Kesuma urged law enforcement agencies immediately handling the case of oil palm plantation company cuttingdown through  Forest Park (Tahura) Sultan Adam. If left,  it distrupts ecosystems and affect human life.

Gusti Perdana, whose commission in charge of  economics and finance, stating in Banjarmasin, Saturday, licensors and employers who intentionally penetrated the protected forests or nature reserves should be investigated.

Tahura Sultan Adam is a forest reserves and protected areas. It serves as a water catchment area and discharge water reservoir of  Riam Kanan, Banjar regency, South Kalimantan.

Riam Kanan Reservoirs has many functions, such as an energy source of hydropower Ir Pangeran Mohammad Noor, agricultural irrigation, as well as a source of raw water for local water company (PDAM).
