One of the locations, Trash Landfill (TPA) Padang Panjang, was revamped from formerly seedy, dirty, and smelling into a comfortable and healthy, Banjar Regency PR released on Friday.
Regent Banjar Sultan H Khairul Saleh, accompanied by the Head of Housing and Settlement Boyke W Triestiyanto, said Padang Panjang has so far been “a specter†to Adipura assessment.
But this TPA finally able to manage the clean up of methane gas into electrical energy which is of course very useful for the preservation of the environment.
"God willing, with the support of all parties, we are determined to maintain a clean town in the Year 2013 Award," he said.
Regents Banjar also launched bank trash in the community or in the public school and leading the clean in sub Terminal Martapura and other urban areas, as the commitment to sustainable development.
