Batulicin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Residents of Simpang Empat, Tanah Bumbu, abandoned their intention to go home to their hometown in South Sulawesi, because they ran out of ship tickets for the Batulicin-Makassar route.


"All the ship tickets for the Batulicin-Makassar have been sold out, so cancel going home to my hometown," said Sukanto, in Batulicin on Thursday.

He admitted that he and his colleagues wanted to look for other alternatives, such as plane tickets for homecoming, but the price jumped high even for airplanes reaching Rp1.5 million they could not afford.

The Batulicin-Makassar ticket ran out is considered likely due to the many of prospective travelers who returned home thus the tickets provided quickly sold out.
