The 1005 Barito Kuala Military Command (Kodim Batola) held a fishing competition at its owned fishing pond on Wednesday (1/5).
Dozens of participants were enthusiastic in participating in the competition which was held in collaboration with the the Bumi Selidah Anglers Association (IPBS). Bumi Selidah is a nickname of the district.
Batola Vice Regent Rahmadian Noor appeared to be quite good at fishing, as it was proven that less than an hour managed to collect four fish, thus placing him as the champion nominee for the toughest category.
Rahmadi said, Batola is an area that has advantages in the field of fisheries supported by extensive aquatic land. No wonder Batola is a fishing destination.
Previously, Commander of the 1005 Batola District Command (Dandim) Lt. Col. Kav Sugianto said, fishing competition was held to channel hobbies as well as a venue for friendship, recreation, and refreshment.
"Marabahan Military Command also tries to participate in campaigning for government programs like to eat fish as a source of animal protein," he said.
