Kotabaru legislature invited govenment at a work meeting to discuss the rusunawa (low-cost rental apartments) which construction had been completed last year but has not yet been used.

The DPRD Speaker Hj Alfisah said the rusunawa in Dirgahayu Village, North Pulaulaut Subdistrict, whose construction has been completed in 2018 has become the spotlight of the legislators.

"The legislature through the commission has invited the relevant government agency (SKPD) to discuss and list the problems as well," Alfisah said.

The goal is for the government and legislature to jointly find the best solution, that the assets built with the state budget funds are immediately utilized according to their designation.

Rusunawa was built by the provincial government with a central fund of around Rp12,479 billion for the relocation of the community of the Dirgahayu Village barracks.

According to some local residents, only a portion of the plot has been electrified, so that the rusunawa cannot be used.
