The Water and Air Police Unit (Satpolairud) of Tanah Bumbu Resort Police began to increase patrols ahead of the voting day of the 2019 Election.

Head of Tanah Bumbu Satpolairud Adj Comr (AKP) Parman lead the water patrols while visiting residents in coastal areas.

"We carried out a patrol to create conditions in the territorial waters of Tanah Bumbu starting today until April 17," Parman, who was contacted from Banjarmasin, said on Friday.

With the strength of five members using the RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat) type patrol boat, Parman who acted as the driver moved from the Satpolairud pier to Tampakan Island waters, then Dua River, and Batulicin waters to Bird Island which is a remote area.

During the patrol, officers proactively approached community leaders, religious leaders, and youth to ensure security and order (kamtibmas) were always well maintained.

To anticipate vulnerability in the waters and coastal areas, Satpolairud prepared specifically the facilities of two KP - 2001 and KP - 1004 vessels and one RIB unit at the headquarters.

Then in the Satui Subdistrict area KP - 1002 was prepared, and the KP-1001 for Angsana Subdistrict, complete with personnel on standby 24 hours.
