The Islamic state high school of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) Satu Hulu Sungai Tengah students won the first champion in the 4th Appropriate Technology Contest for the district level by making unique Banjar dish as alternative energy.


Ajrina Amalia, Ajwa Ramadhana Alsya, and Alif Sayyidinoor utilized water from the fermentation in the process of making mandai, a dish made from the peel of cempedak, as an alternative energy to generate electriciy.

They succeeded in  ensuring the jury to collect the biggest score of 218 and won the first champion in the contest took place in the Bhakti Husada Hall Barabai..

While the second place won by Women Farmers Group (KWT) Anggrek Bulan who presented the technology of making syrup from lemon and collected a score of 216

Head of the HST Community Empowerment and Village Agency (PMD) Subhani, Thursday (11/4) here said, the third winner was the Ranting Mandiri Village-Owned Company (BUMdes) with press tool as their innovation to win the score of 190. 
While the first hopeful champion Ahyadi innovated an electric stove made from waste and the second was Hendra Riduan who made a tool to make smoked banana fritters.

"As many as 11 participants take part in the contest. They are from Women Farmers Group, students, and independent community," Subhani said.

Chairwoman of HST Family Welfare Movement Hj Ernawaty Chairansyah expected the agency to enhance the participation. She hoped the innovation presented in the contest really beneficial to society.
