The Saidi Mansyur Cup open tournament which is initiated by AP TOUR is ready to be held for three days from 5 to 7 April 2019 at Kayu Tangi Tennis Court, Jalan Albasia, Martapura.
Chairman of the Committee Adi Permana in Martapura, Tuesday said, the open tennis tournament is a dedication of Saidi Mansyur who is also Deputy Regent of Banjar.
"Saidi Mansyur asked us to hold an event that could arouse the passion of South Kalimantan and their surroundings tennis players to demonstrate their abilities," said Adi, who works as a journalist.
Saidi Mansyur is known as an official who likes to exercise, and is ready to contribute through tournaments that aim to promote sports.
The tournament also aims to ensure that the spirit of sports that upholds sportsmanship, family values, and ready to win and lose, can spread to the 2019 General Election.
"Our hope is that the tournament ahead of the election will run smoothly in addition to the implementation of elections that are safe, orderly and smooth," said Adi, who is also in the board of the South Kalimantan PWI's Sports Journalist Section (Siwo).
It is predicted the tournament will be exciting because it involves dozens of the best tennis players from South Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, South Sulawesi and even from Banten.
