A special achievement was recorded by the trafic game application "Si Tala" belonging to the Tanah Laut Police during the peak of the Millennial Road Safety Festival in South Kalimantan, Sunday (17/3).


It recorded 11,547 players simultaneously playing the game about orderly and safe traffic simulation.

"Today the South Kalimantan Regional Police record the history of traffic education games with the most downloads while playing together," said Indonesian Museum of Records (MURI) Senior Manager Yusuf Ngadri.

Even when the event took place in the car free day area of the Office of the South Kalimantan Governor in Banjarbaru, there were 17,603 people who downloaded the Si Tala game application.

Yusuf revealed, the most downloads record for traffic games was previously set by the Banten Regional Police with 5,502 people in 2017. While record for similar games played  simultaneously won by Jakarta with 1,302 people.

"Extraordinary, South Kalimantan broke the record with so many and many times more than before," said Yusuf, who represented the Chairman of MURI Jaya Suprana to hand over the award certificate to South Kalimantan Regional Police Chief Inspector General Yazid Fanani accompanied by Director of Traffic Sr Comr Muji Ediyanto.

Previously, the Tanah Laut Police and the South Kalimantan Regional Police have invited the public, especially the millennial generation, to download the Si Tala on Google Playstore from March 13 to 17, 2019.

For those who can play it to reach the highest level, they will get a prize of Rp1 million plus a free driver's license (SIM) and Rp500 thousand plus a free SIM for the favorite champion.

Information technology based games on smartphones called Si Tala was the ideas of Tanah Laut Police Chief Adj S Comr (AKBP) Sentot Adi Dharmawan. The education in the form of a game is expected to increase the interest of the community in making a Driving License (SIM).
