The Indonesian Ambassador to Finland and Estonia Wiwiek Setyawati Firman said the potential of South Kalimantan's natural tourism was very fascinating among tourists from Finland and Estonia.


According to Wiwiek, who was also the leader of the group consisting of media crews, tourism operators and associations from Finland and Estonia, in Martapura on Friday the participants' responses were very positive for South Kalimantan's natural tourism.

"I myself did not expect if the participants were very enthusiastic about seeing the natural tourism of South Kalimantan. They responded very positively, I could not convey with words from my version, which surely they were very happy," she said.
     
She also invited the media crew to ask the group participants directly, so they would know the positive reaction and their joy to see the natural beauty of South Kalimantan.
     
"Finnish people always convey according to their heart's content. When they say they are happy and beautiful is what they really feel," Wiwiek said, convincing how the group participants admired the natural beauty of South Kalimantan.
     
Since the last four days, Wiwiek and his group have been in South Kalimantan to visit various locations of natural and cultural tourism in South Kalimantan, so they can be promoted to various European countries.

According to Wiwiek, so far foreign tourists only know Indonesian tourism in Bali, Yogyakarta and others. Now the government has introduced 10 new tourist destinations to the world tourist, but unfortunately South Kalimantan is not included.
 
In fact, she added, it turns out that South Kalimantan tourism is very beautiful and has the potential to be promoted as a world tourist destination, especially for tourists who like nature.
     
Especially for Finnish citizens, added Wiwiek, they are very fond of nature tourism, including visiting various locations where breeds of endangered species, such as bekantan.
     
The arrival of journalists from newspapers, radio and television, and Finnish tourism operators and associations is expected to help promote tourism that relies heavily on local wisdom.
     
The presence of the group from Finland was a reciprocal visit, after the team from the South Kalimantan Provincial Government took part in the exhibition and performed art in the country.
     
While in South Kalimantan, the group had visited several tourist sites, including the natural tourist of the Public Forest Park (Tahura) Sultan Adam in Mandiangin.
     
At that location, the group headed to the Tengger Peak to enjoy the view of the clouds hanging between the trees and sunrise.
 
The journey continued by visiting the Dutch Old Cottage and having breakfast at the historical forest location.
     
After visiting the Dutch resort, the group proceeded to the Dutch Colonial pool and the spot Bath of the Twin Princess.

The group also looked at the wildlife habitat in Sultan Adam's Tahura and enjoyed the honey from kelulut which was not far from the location of wildlife habitat.
     
Before continuing the trip, a delegation of ambassador and Finnish and Estonian tourists took part in a joint planting activity at the Sultan Adam Mandiangin accompanied by Head of Forestry Agency Dr. Hanif Faisol Nurofi.
      
The journey continued to Rusa Island and Bekantan Island by boat, to see habituation of spotted deer and proboscis monkeys.
     
At the end of the visit, the group proceeded to the Belangian Village for lunch and made observations to see the tropical rainforest by using the prepared dirt bikes.
