Governor of South Kalimantan Sahbirin Noor asked universities in their regions to be able to develop the competencies of all students, so they are ready to compete in the world of work according to current needs.


According to the Governor, currently, the South Kalimantan Provincial Government continues to encourage the development of science in educational institutions so that they are capable of acting according to accepted professional disciplines.

The era of digitalization as it is now, he said, must be balanced with the competence of expertise and the adaptation of science that develops very quickly.

The key word as a solution to answer the challenge is to equip yourself with skills or expertise in accordance with current employment needs.
 
"I continue to remind that science is the keyword to success. Without science the world will be dark, even though we have abundant wealth," he said.

So, he added, it is very important to equip the young generation, sons and daughters, with adequate knowledge.

Previously, the Governor attended the graduation ceremony of the health colleg STIKES Cahaya Bangsa. On that occasion, he gave an appreciation in the form of cash to the three best graduates after previously interacting in question and answer.

Chairman of STIKES Cahaya Bangsa Banjarmasin Sri Erliani said, 325 graduates, graduated consisted of 9 from public health study programs, 150 of nursing study programs, while 166 ners professions.
