Regent H. Achmad Fikry expects the Millennial Road Safety Festival (MRSF) to be a momentum to awaken the HSS community, especially the millennials for orderly traffic and obey the rules.
During the festival, which was held at the Lambung Mangkurat Kandangan Square on Sunday (3/3), the Regent reminded the millennials, especially students, who were not old enough to have a driver's license (SIM) to not drive a motorized vehicle.
The District Government currently provides school buses to transport students to school. The existing bus fleet will continue to be added as a concrete step in disciplining children in traffic, while providing safety and comfort for them.
HSS Police Chief Adj Sr Comr (AKBP) Dedy Eka Jaya said the aim at the Millennial Road Safety Festival (MRSF) is to realize discipline and legal compliance with applicable legislation traffic rules, especially for millennial.
He revealed that there were 28 cases of traffic accidents in the HSS area from January to February 2019 with four fatalities, two of whom were from the millennials.
