"The distribution of business capital is expected to increase the amount of production, thus it can stimulate the increase in income of the beneficiary," said Rasyid, the facilitator of Rumah Zakat.
Business capital assistance from Rumah Zakat was given directly at Sarkani's house in South Kuin on Wednesday.
Sarkani sells typical Soto Kuin Banjar with a wheelbarrow to support his household. After Maghrib Prayer, Sarkani taught dozens of residents around the Al-Quran to recite.
He claimed he did not ask for wages. He only hoped by teaching the Al-Quran, his reward would flow to his parents who had died a long time when he was little. Before becoming an orphan, his parents taught him the Al-Quran.
When getting venture capital assistance, Sarkani hopes his business to increase. "Thank you the Rumah Zakat donors," Sarkani said happily.
Economic empowerment is one of the efforts of the Rumah Zakat in optimizing the utilization of ZISWAF (Zakat, Infaq, Alms and Endowments) for the ummah.
