Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - South Kalimantan Regional Police's Directorate of Drug Investigation (Ditresnarkoba) has thwarted the trafficking of  3.535,86 gram crystal meth dan 2.600 ecstacy pills.


"The three syndicates of narcotics dealer networks were dismantled almost at the same time," said Deputy Chief of South Kalimantan Regional Police Brigadier General Aneka Pristafuddin, Tuesday (29/1).

The first syndicate revealed was a network of prison with evidence of 50.43 grams of methamphetamine (sabu-sabu) on January 21, 2019.

This network was controlled by prison guard DP (26) serving in the Class III Banjarbaru Prison assisted by HA (28), a prisoner in the same prison.

In the investigation led by Head of Sub-Directorate I Comr Ugeng Sudia Permana, RS, SY and CG were also arrested in connection with the drug  network in Class IIA Narcotics Prison of Karang Intan, Martapura.

On the same day, the Head of Subdirectorate 3 of Comr Diaz Sasongko and the team revealed the North Kalimantan drug syndicate along with evidence of 1,829.93 grams of meth.

"Initially members received information about meth shipments from North Kalimantan to Banjarmasin or Banjarbaru. The team tracked the perpetrators who carried narcotics by land," Aneka said.

After obtaining the characteristics of a vehicle carrying large quantities of meth, the police trailed them after from Rantau, Tapin District.
