Barabai, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Mantuala durian fruit belonging to Andi Asi Munif from Batu Hayam Village, Central Hulu Sungai (HST), won the first winner of the South Kalimantan Durian Contest and the Exotic Fruit Exhibition at Kiram Park in Banjar District, Thursday (1/24).
The Mantuala Batu Hayam durian was selected thanks to the superiority of sweet and fragrant taste, and its special texture and is taken from the 60 years old durian tree.
"The young skin color is green, the color of the contents is orange with thick flesh," said the head of the HST Agriculture Agency H Zainuddin who received gifts and awards from South Kalimantan Governor H Sahbirin Noor.
In this festive durian contest, HST successfully also won the third favorite champion for pure durian on behalf of the owner Ardi, a resident of Sungai Rangas Village, Labuan Amas Selatan Subdistrict, and second winner for Mantuala Layuh durian on behalf of Yunus.
Zainuddin revealed that HST through the Agriculture Agency sent five participants in the contest, three of which won the championship.
