Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Seven blood donors (DDS) from South Kalimantan will receive the Satya Lencana, ring and charter award from President Joko Widodo in Jakarta for 100 times or more donated their blood.


The seven people were Kani Basran, SE, 109 times donated his blood, Boy Sapto Suryo S 105 times, M Tanthawy Djauhari 103 times, M.airani Noor 102 times, Nur Alamsyah 101 times, and Fahrudin 100 times donated.

The departure of the seven DDS, that deserves the nickname "The Hero of Humanity", to Jakarta to meet President Jokowi and receive the award was facilitated by the PMI (Indonesian Red Cross) Center, PMI South Kalimantan with the Banjarmasin City Transfusion Unit (UTD).

Head of South Kalimantan PMI H. Gusti Iskandar Sukma Alamsyah when seeing off the DDSs to Jakarta on Thursday said he was very grateful for the sincerity of donors who voluntarily donated blood for the needs of the people who were most in need.

"Your sincerity in donating blood will help the souls of others who need blood. Therefore, these voluntary blood donors deserve appreciation," said Gusti Iskandar.

In addition, in order to maintain a relationship between donors, he proposed that a voluntary donor community be formed as a forum to join the DDS.

The chairperson of UTD Banjarmasin Dr.Syafril on that occasion said he was proud of the 100 times DDS invited to Jakarta to get an award from the President.
