Kandangan, S Kalimantan - Head of Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) Representative of South Kalimantan Syaifullah said the financial management of the regional government must be harmonized with the level of community welfare.


He said, cash receipts and expenditures must be appropriate and balanced, the financial statements produced must be of high quality and benefit the local government.

"Local governments can be more independent in obtaining locally derived income (PAD), by looking for the regional potential that can be developed so that they can increase regional income," he said,

He was speaking while giving direction in the technical guidance (bimtek) of the process of preparing the Local Government Financial Report (LKPD), Wednesday (23/1) at the South Hulu Sungai District Hall.

Regarding the Unqualified Opinion (WTP), he explained, it was given to LKPDs that fulfilled the requirements, namely conformity with government accounting standards, adequacy of completeness, compliance with laws and regulations.

He reminded that budget reporting up to the stage of accountability, as well as the effectiveness of the Internal Control System (SIP), so do financial reports evaluation must be regularly done by the head of the region, weekly or monthly, and monitored systemically.

HSS Regent H Achmad Fikry said the 2018 budget year had been abandoned, the next task of the District Government is to prepare financial reports which would later be audited by the BPK.

"We hope this technical guidance can encourage the spirit of the HSS government to do their best," he said when opening the technical guidance organized by the Inspectorate of HSS.
