Barabai, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - A number of TNI soldiers from 621 Manuntung Battalion showed off their strength when the VI Mulawarman Regional Military Commander (Pangdam) Major General Subiyanto visited their headquarters in Central Hulu Sungai (HST), Thursday (1/17).
The Pangdam entourage was welcomed with the attraction of pencak silat with the break of a pitcher that immediately came out the note "Welcome to 621 Manuntung Battalion".
At the same time, the ranks of elements of the HST Leaders Consultative Forum (Muspida) also carried out greetings accompanied with the typical yells of spirit of 621 Battalion soldiers all the way to the meeting hall.
After that, the soldiers showed the muscles of those who had been trained like bodybuilders which indicated their strength is always ready in any condition if there is a problem that threatened regional security.
The skull masked black troops also performed their nunchaku skills, weapon in the form of two short sticks connected by chains. This weapon was popularized by actor and legendary martial artist Bruce Lee.
"This is our first working visit as the Regional Military Commander," said Maj. Gen. Subiyanto.
According to him, after seeing the strength of soldiers of the 621 Manuntung Battalion, he believes the TNI is very ready to support the security of the election in April 2019 which is expected to take place in an orderly and peaceful manner.
After coordinating with the ranks of the regent, police, and district military commander, and guiding members, the Pangdam planted durian trees around the 621 Battalion headquarters.
