Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - A Banjarmasin legislator Mathari suggested the city government to follow the example of South Tangerang in health service: each resident will have a free service by only showing his or her electronic ID (KTP-el).

"Splendid isn't it, just showing your original ID that you are a resident of the city, you get free medication till the hospital. We can take it as an example," said the PKS politician who has just arrived from the DPRD Banjarmasin study visit to the South Tangerang (Tangsel) related to the revision of Regional Regulation (Perda) No 17/2012 about health service retribution.

According to Mathari, who is the chief of the inquiry committee (pansus) to revise the regulation, the city's health service is possible to be directed the same as Tangsel did.

"If we count, our city's budget (APBD) make it possible to carry it on, we can then realize it sooner," Mathari pointed out.

Especially, he added, Banjarmasin Municipal Government will have its own hospital, Sultan Suriansyah Hospital, which construction is now ongoing at the last stage. It will support the free service.

"One of our spirit to revise the Perda, because we are building a hospital. There must be regulation," Mathari said explaining that the old regulation (perda) only regulates community health center (puskesmas) retribution when the city government has no hospital.
