Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Fauzan Ramon again expressed his objection to the election of Deputy Mayor Hermansyah as Chairman of the Banjarmasin National Indonesian Sports Committee (KONI) for the 2018-2022 period.
Fauzan considered Hermansyah's election was violating the rules and regulations, so he wrote to the South Kalimantan KONI to express objections to the decision.
"I have sent a letter and I, as one of the Management of Wrestle Sport, expressed my objection and appealed to the Chairperson of the South Kalimantan KONI to follow up my objection letter," Fauzan said on Thursday (10/1).
As is known, in the Banjarmasin City Sports Consultation December 29, 2018, Deputy Mayor Hermansyah, who was supported by 32 sports administrators, walked smoothly into the sole candidate for the Chairman of the KONI Banjarmasin in 2018-2022 replacing Drs H Djumadri Masrun.
Whereas Fauzan Ramon, who was only supported by three sports officials, was declared not eligible by the screening team because of the minimum requirement of 15 sports support.
Even though when registering, Fauzan claimed to have the support of 17 sports administrators. But it turned out that the screening team only recognized three sports that supported the famous lawyer, based on the validity of the signature of the chairperson and the secretary of the sport and from the statement of support.
Although the election has passed, Fauzan has not given up. According to him, he will continue to struggle to uphold the rules and comply with the Law.
"The Deputy Mayor's public position is not justified as concurrently the Chair of the KONI based on Law No. 3 of 2005 concerning the National Sports System Article 40, which expressly states the central and provincial or districts KONI administrators, are independent and not bound by structural positions and public office," he explained.
Moreover, the Mahmakah Constitution also explicitly refused the judicial review of Article 40 of Law No. 3 concerning SKN which had been submitted by a member of the East Java DPRD Saleh Ismail Mukadar who was then elected as the Chair of the KONI Surabaya.
