Tanjung, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Residents of Upau Village, Tabalong District, held a Dayak Deah culture performace in order to preserve local culture while celebrating the new year 2019.

Various cultural attractions, such as Naik Manau (climbing Manau tree), Dayak Deah traditional games, are quite interesting for visitors.

"This cultural performance needs to be preserved so that people get more knowledge about Dayak Deah culture," said one visitor from Tanjung City, Erwin.

The Dayak Deah cultural performance itself was also to promote tourism to the Kinarum Dam, which is managed by the Upau Ecotourism Group.

The Chairperson of the ecotourism Suparin said that the Dayak Deah culture presentation was carried out independently by local residents.

"We use the funds from the Kinarum tour attraction management for this cultural performance," Suparin explained.

Through this performance, visitors can also dance and play the traditional game with the dancers.

Previously, the Kinarum ecotourism group in Upau received rubber boat assistance from the Production Forest Management Office of Banjarbaru IX Region.

This facility is also used by visitors of Kinarum ecotourism for river cruising activities while enjoying the panorama of the surrounding forest.
