Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - President Director of the Indonesian National News Agency (LKBN) Antara Meidyatama Suryodiningrat was confirmed to attend the Antara 81st Anniversary Gathering to be held in South Kalimantan.
"Thank God, Pak Dimas (Meidyatama Suryodiningrat) is able to attend and will present awards to outstanding regional heads and a number of partners of the South Kalimantan Bureau of Antara," said the Head of the South Kalimantan Bureau of Antara Nurul Aulia Badar, Saturday (1/5).
The presence of the number one person in the LKBN Antara is a matter of pride for the South Kalimantan Bureau as well as the area in general. Moreover, the plan of President Director to bring along other senior officials such as a number of directors and the supervisory board.
The gathering event which will perform the submission of the 2018 Antara Awards is held at the Mahligai Pancasila Building in Banjarmasin on Wednesday 9 January 2019 starting at 08.00.
In addition to giving awards to governors, regents, and mayors for leading work programs, Antara also appreciates a number of partners for outstanding achievements throughout 2018.
One of them is South Kalimantan Regional Police which is considered successful in the field of combating drug trafficking. During 2018, the police had thwarted so many attempts to smuggle drugs into the province whose nicknamed Bumi Antasari.
The event will also be attended by the local management of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) in South Kalimantan as well as the Provincial Leadership Coordination Forum.
Antara was founded on December 13, 1937, by Adam Malik, Soemanang, A.M. Sipahoetar, and Pandoe Kartawigoena. In May 1962, Antara officially became the National News Agency under the President of the Republic of Indonesia.
On July 17, 2007, through Government Regulation Number: 40/2007, Antara officially joined a large family of the Ministry of SOEs and turned into Perum Antara National News Agency. On its 81st anniversary, Perum LKBN Antara is determined to continue to grow and develop to help build the country.
