Tanjung, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The Tabalong Resort Police Chief Adj Sr Comr (AKBP) Hardiono revealed that throughout 2018 out of 12 prominent cases, drug abuse was ranked first.
The total narcotics cases that occurred during 2018 were 60, up 82 percent compared to only 33 cases in 2017.
Whereas general criminal cases fell 34 percent, compared to 2017.
In addition to drug abuse, prominent acts of crime in Tabalong include theft by force, car theft, corruption and murder.
During 2018, the Tabalong police carried out 14 police operations, namely Operation Jaran Intan, Operation Bina Karuna Intan, Operation Zebra Intan, and Operation Peti Intan.
"In the future the police must further improve readiness in detecting and anticipating each development of security and order," explained Hardiono.
