Paringin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - PT Adaro Indonesia was awarded as the largest PNPB (Non-Tax State Revenue) payer in the 2018 Indonesian Mining Association (IMA) Award in Jakarta. Adaro contributed IDR 4.2 trillion in PNPB in 2018.


IMA Chairperson Ido Hutabarat said the award was given as a form of appreciation to mining companies and supporting industries for their performance.

"Achievements in the mining sector, both in terms of the environment, labor, and its contribution to the country should be appreciated because it is a form of commitment and the results of the hard work of companies in the mining sector. The IMA Awards also aim to motivate all parties to improve performance respectively," said Ido.

In the period of August 31, 2018, the realization of non-tax revenues from the mining sector was recorded at IDR 32.2 trillion or 101% of the target in the 2018 State Budget of IDR 32.09 trillion. While for 2019, the government has launched a target of PNBP mining in the amount of Rp 41.82 trillion.

According to Febriati Nadira, Corporate Communication Division Head of PT Adaro Energy, Adaro as a national company is committed to contributing to the development and progress of the Indonesian economy through taxes and royalties.

In 2017 Adaro has contributed to the country totaling US $ 774 million. "US $ 346 million in royalties and US $ 428 million in taxes," she explained.

Febriati said the Director General of Taxes has also confirmed the taxpayers (WP) status of PT Adaro Indonesia as Specific Criteria Taxpayer (WP Patuh) for the period of January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2019.
