Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Head of the Banjarmasin Environment Agency (DLH) Mukhyar revealed the announcement of the 2018 Adipura winner will be in 2019.
"As per the information that we have received no announcement of the Adipura-winning region until the end of the year, in 2019 it will only be announced," he said at City Hall on Thursday.
According to Mukhyar, the announcement is still awaited from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry which has the authority to give awards to districts and cities considered to be the cleanest and greenest.
Mukhyar stated that there was no problem the announcement of 2018 Adipura is postponed because Banjarmasin, in fact, had tried to become a clean city.
"The results of the assessment already exist, we are still confident that we can defend Adipura in 2018," he said.
In fact, Mukhyar said, Banjarmasin was determined to get the Adipura Kencana in 2018. Because, Banjarmasin had won Adipura Kirana for three consecutive years, namely in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
"It's natural that we want to reach a higher Adipura, the Adipura Kencana for the big city category," he concluded.
