Martapura, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The Banjar District Government named as the first winner of the Province of South Kalimantan Energy Savings. Trophy and award certificate were handed over by Governor H Sahbirin Noor to the Regent of Banjar H Khalilurrahman in Banjarbaru, Tuesday (4/12).
The Governor said the energy-saving award proves that the district and city governments throughout South Kalimantan strongly support the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Regulation No. 13/2012 which requires central and regional government office buildings to save electricity in the use of air conditioner systems, lighting systems, and other supporting equipment.
"This regulation is very clear that we the government must exemplify good things, especially in the efficiency of energy use, because energy - especially fossil energy such as oil, gas, coal, water and other energy - is irreplaceable, so that can continue to be used by the community, "said H Sahbirin Noor.
Regent H Khalilurrahman said that energy savings are indeed a must, given that as time goes by every year population and industry growth in Banjar continues to increase.
If saving is not done, it will cause energy scarcity. Therefore the regent invites all his people to save energy by using enough electricity, oil, gas, water and other energy so that our children and grandchildren will continue to be able to enjoy energy and water resources.
