Kandangan, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - As many as three hundred trees were planted on the roadside in front of Daha Sejahtera Hospital, South Daha Subdistrict, South Hulu Sungai (HSS), by local government agencies, vertical agencies, and various communities.
"It is to make Daha green and people are motivated to do the same and to take care of the plants," said Regent HSS H Achmad Fikry about planting action in Negara, Friday (11/23).
"This is a series of 68th anniversaries to the District of HSS and to support the Green Revolution program of the Government of South Kalimantan," he said again.
It turned out that the team from the South Kalimantan Forest Agency was present in the reforestation action. Said the Head of Forest and Land Rehabilitation and River Basin Areas (DAS) Management of the agency Fatimatuzzahra, she with the team arrived intentionally to provide support for tree planting activities.
According to her, tree planting movement has always received support from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, especially in the Green Revolution movement which continues to be carried out in the regions in South Kalimantan.
The type of tree planted was trembesi. This plant is in accordance with existing conditions to maintain the balance of the ecosystem. In addition, to meet community expectations, a typical fruit plant is also planted, such as kasturi and binjai.
