Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Supervision Director of Kalimantan Regional Financial Services Authority (OJK) 9 M Nurdin Subandi said the number of capital market investors in South Kalimantan amounted to 12,235.


"The number of capital market investors in South Kalimantan is 22.26 percent of all investors in Kalimantan," said M Nurdin Subandi in Banjarmasin on Thursday.
     
These investors, according to him, have shares worth IDR 40.48 trillion or increased by 22.67 percent compared to the previous year.
     
Especially for Banjarmasin City, he said, the number of capital market investors is 6,387 people or 52.20 percent of the total investors in South Kalimantan.

Among the 6,387 investors, 3,597 were stock investors, 3,469 mutual fund investors, and 804 SBN investors.

When compared to the population of South Kalimantan which is 3,626,616 in 2018, the population of Banjarmasin City which invests in the capital market share sector is 0.34 percent.

There are seven securities companies that have a branch network in South Kalimantan and all of them are in Banjarmasin. They are PT BNI Securities, PT Valbury Securities, PT Mandiri Securities, PT Philip Securities, PT MNC Securities, PT Indopremier Securities, and PT RHB Securities.
   
In addition, there is one branch of an investment manager, namely PT Sinarmas Asset Management in South Kalimantan and there are 21 network branches of commercial banks that are licensed as mutual fund securities sales agents.
   
"To improve understanding and support the development of the capital market industry in South Kalimantan, the Indonesia Stock Exchange cooperates with securities companies to open an Investment Gallery (GI) as an educational tool for the public and potential investors," he said.
