Paringin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The Government of Balangan District, South Kalimantan, granted Rp100 million as coaching fund for young footballer grouped in the Football School (SSB) of Batu Agung, which has made the district famous on the national and even international level.
"Hopefully the Rp100 million coaching fund will be used to find new seeds and to foster those who have achievements, so they can bring the fragrant name of Balangan in the world soccer arena," said Regent H Ansharuddin, Friday (11/2).
The achievement of the Batu Agung is a pride for the Balangan community. The 12-year-old football players recorded history while representing Indonesia in the 2017 Danone Cup football tournament in New York, United States.
"Never be satisfied with the achievements that have been achieved, remain humble and focus on achieving dreams and dreams to become Garuda Indonesia retainer," said the regent.
Ansharuddin also advised the SSB Batu Agung team and parents that the struggle for sports achievements should not exclude learning at school.
"Education in schools still has to be the main thing, including general and religious lessons. It should be a concern for parents to watch it. So it will be balanced between achievement and education," he added.
