Banjarbaru, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Early morning flights at Syamsudin Noor Airport, South Kalimantan, returned to normal and free of fog, after a day earlier seven aircraft were delayed due to haze.

Communication and Legal Section Head of Syamsudin Noor Aditya Putra Patria in Banjarbaru on Saturday said that flights to other airports were smooth according to the scheduled departure time.

"All flights are smooth and according to the scheduled departure time, unlike the previous day there were seven aircraft delayed because of the thick smoke surrounding the runway," he said.

He said the visibility on the runway at 6:00 am reached 600 meters so that it still fulfilled flight conditions and the pilot decided the plane could depart.

It is emphasized, the departure of each aircraft is entirely the authority of the pilot, including if there is a disturbance in visibility because the runway is covered in smoke like Friday.

"Airplane pilots who decide to fly or not being guided by a control officer in the tower. If indeed visibility is limited but still meets the requirements, the aircraft can depart," he said.
