Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Banjarmasin Naval Base (Lanal) distributes 700 coupons of qurban (sacrificial) meat to residents at Eid al-Adha 1439 Hijriyah.
"Alhamdulillah (Thank God) this year we have 12 cows and 13 goats for sacrifice in Mako Lanal (Naval Base headquarters)," said Banjarmasin Naval Base Commander Sea Colonel (P) Wijayanto, Wednesday.
The symbolic handover of sacrifice animals by the commander to the sacrificial committee was held after the Eid al-Adha prayer in the courtyard of the headquarters on Jalan Ahmad Yani Km 3.5, East Banjarmasin.
Wijayanto thanked the ranks of the Navy, partners, as well as the people who had sacrificed and handed over their slaughter in the Naval Base headquarters.
"Hopefully the sacrificial worship of the servants of Allah Subhanu Wa Ta'ala were received and their livelihood to be multiplied and blessed, amen," he said.
The packages of qurban meat were distributed to the people around Mako Lanal, such as the Pandu Market area and the Trans-AL Sungai Tabuk, Banjar District, and the Trans-AL Tambang Ulang, Tanah Laut District.
"In addition to the general public, we also share with retired officers and Warakawuri, which of course also requires our care to share," said commander.
Previously, the Eid al-Adha prayer at the Mako Lanal was also attended by Banjarmasin City Police Chief Sr. Comr. (Kombes) Sumarto and his ranks together with hundreds of other worshipers.
