Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Head of South Kalimantan Manpower and Transmigration Agency Sugian Noorbah announced that 74 companies in the province this year received zero accident awards.

He said, 14 other companies also were awarded the category of successfully implementing K3 management system (SMK3) and 13 companies successfully implementing HIV-AIDS prevention and control programs (P2HIV-AIDS) in the workplace.

Noorbah revealed, the provincial government continues to guide all companies to improve work safety through SMK3.

"Thank God, through continuous supervision, there are now many companies that comply with various safety requirements," he said in Banjarmasin on Monday.

It is expected that all companies seriously pay attention to Occupational Safety and Health (K3), so as to improve aspects of worker protection, quality of work, and productivity.

The high rate of corporate compliance with occupational safety led the South Kalimantan Governor Sahbirin Noor to receive the Occupational Safety and Health (K3) Guidance Award from the Minister of Manpower Muhammad Hanif Dhakiri.

The award was received by the Deputy Governor of South Kalimantan Rudy Resnawan, who was handed over by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Manpower Hery Sudarmanto in Jakarta, Thursday night (9/8).
